Advisory Committee of Emirates Association for Franchise Development (EAFD)
held its first meeting at the main building of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce
and Industry (ADCCI) with the presence of His Excellency Mr. Mohmamed Helal Al
Muhairi, Chairman of the Board of Emirates Association for Franchise Development
(EAFD) and Mr. Mohammed Al Madani, Mr. Jasem Al Bustaki, Ms. Noor Al Tamimi,
Mr. Abdullah Al Mulla, Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Janahi and Mr. Manea Al Suwaidi,
members of Advisory Committee of the Board of Directors of the Association.
Activating the role of the committee and developing the operational plan while concentrating on its functions in supporting the association and achieving cooperation within them for promoting the concepts of franchise and raising awareness of its role in developing small and medium ventures have been discussed in the meeting. This would expand franchise and create opportunities for businessmen especially the UAE young investors by creating them good chances to participate in the committee activities and present successful stories in managing challenges and risks. The committee will also support the association program for developing UAE commercial relationships as a source of experience and skills for the initiators and developers of UAE brands so that they can contribute to support the national economy. During the meeting, Mr. Mohammed Al Madani was appointed Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Jasem Al Bustaki Senior Vice Chairman and Ms. Noor Al Tamimi Second Vice Chairwoman. The Advisory Committee of Emirates Association for Franchise Development (EAFD) consists of a group of franchise owners and is considered a reservoir of expertise who have remote and deep experience and acquired capabilities in this field to which the association refers if need be. Moreover, the committee members have developed groups from all franchise sectors to be a rich source of information and news about the updates of franchise sector within the UAE.
On his part, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Helal Al Muhairi shed light on the functional strategy of the association and dominant role and effective contribution in providing services, guidance and consultation to the entrepreneurs in the field of franchise according to the directives of the wise leadership of the UAE for supporting the Emirati youth and empowering them economically. This can be achieved through habilitating and developing them academically and practically to be able to practice all economic activities using developed professional bases in accordance with the best international practices in this field. He also emphasized that the association is seeking to consolidate the idea of entrepreneurship and encourage the UAE young people to establish their own projects. Besides, it is keen on promoting the culture of free commercial business and support Emirati entrepreneurs to adopt the concepts of scientific research, innovation and creativity in the type of projects they like to start up.
