Chaired by His Excellency Mohammed Helal Al Mheiri, Chairman of the Emirates Association for Franchise Development (FAD), the Board of Directors of FAD held their second meeting at the Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday, 13 June 2019.
His Excellency Abdullah Khamis Al Suwaidi, Director General of Umm Al Quwain Chamber, welcomed the Board Members of the association, expressing his pleasure to hold the meeting in Umm Al Quwain.
The meeting highlighted the Association's previous resolutions in its 2018 session and its first meeting of 2019. During the meeting, the Board Members discussed the activities for associations including the seminars, workshops and training courses as well as the plan for developing the services and work of the Association.
The meeting also discussed and approved the Franchise Exhibition, which will be held in conjunction with the 2nd meeting of the World Franchise Council (2019) on 22-23 October in Abu Dhabi.
H.E. Al Mheiri thanked the Umm Al Quwain Chamber for hosting the meeting, emphasizing that the Association, which was established on a federal level in 2014, is concerned with all aspects related to the development of the performance of entrepreneurs. “It is an umbrella for local companies interested in brands and trademarks,” he noted, adding, “It (FAD) supports SMEs and promotes products of entrepreneurs in various fields.”
Umm Al Quwain Chamber held a luncheon to honor the Board Members of FAD, which was attended by H.E. Khalfan Ahmed Mesfer, Deputy Chairman of Umm Al Quwain Chamber. Board Members of Umm Al Quwain Chamber Abdulrahman Abdulraheem Al Zarooni and Aisha Rashed Sultan attended the luncheon as well.
