The Emirates Association for Franchise Development (FAD) is a new breakthrough for the UAE economy into wide areas within business and investment sectors through a franchise model, which generates expertise in technology and business administration and also materializes the development of local initiatives, while opening the door before them to go global.
The FAD seeks to bring closer the ties with world franchise associations and to concentrate on diverse sectors in industry, health, education, tourism and the like. It aims at rendering supporting, consultancy and assistance services for franchising initiatives in the UAE as it helps set up the environment, structures, systems and the fair legislative framework which would keep the rights of parties to a franchise, providing protection for people in possession of local initiatives in franchising through providing them with awareness, knowledge and information, not to mention holding events, workshops and exhibitions plus encouraging participations in international activities of franchising.
Furthermore, the Association is going to be the main destination which provides the right frameworks for resolving disputes so as to safeguard practices in the areas of franchising, for there is a code of ethics to which members should be committed with a view to establish right, rational practices in franchising.
The existence of franchising companies on the Association’s membership would be conducive to regulating this important sector, to providing information on it, to both bringing about cooperation frameworks and making use of exchanging expertise, as well as to creating successful agreements.
Similarly, it would enhance the UAE’s strategic and economic trends in terms of expanding the private sector’s contribution to sustainable development. This would deepen and add to continuous successes of our economy and its robust presence on the world’s economic map.
